Support Honey Bee Awareness
Honey Bee Awareness is an independent public-safety, education, incident-documentation, research-coordination, and outreach project focused on protecting people and animals while preserving strong, productive, manageable honey bees.
Help Move This Work Forward
What began with one serious bee attack has grown into a much larger effort involving public safety, agriculture, commercial beekeeping, incident documentation, education, research, and outreach.
Building and maintaining this project requires substantial time and resources. Contributions help support the ongoing work needed to document the problem carefully, develop useful materials, build relationships, and put credible information in front of researchers, beekeepers, agricultural organizations, emergency managers, public officials, and communities.
What Your Support Helps Us Do
- Research and document serious honey bee incidents and improve the public incident record.
- Maintain and expand the Honey Bee Awareness website, incident resources, maps, and research materials.
- Develop practical public-safety education for families, workers, schools, responders, animal owners, and communities.
- Create presentations, articles, videos, graphics, reports, and printed educational materials.
- Coordinate outreach and collaboration with researchers, beekeepers, queen producers, agricultural organizations, emergency managers, and public officials.
- Support travel, communication, and other project-development costs associated with bringing this work to the people and organizations positioned to help.
- Advance the long-term effort to preserve strong, productive, manageable honey bees without normalizing extreme defensive behavior.
